Act 2 - Adaptations, Variations, and Beyond-Canons
As previously stated, Homestuck has had many variations and adaptations of itself.
The Homestuck books contain stills from the panels and are broken up into multiple parts. There are occasional footnotes from the author clarifying or adding additional context that may have been lost from going from webcomic to physical comic. They include screenshots of the "Adventure Map" to help the reader know what parts the book contains. As of 2024, VIZ lost the license to Homestuck and no more books are being published. The books stopped after Act 5 Act 2 Part 2 of Homestuck.

Besides the webcomic getting a physical form, Homestuck is currently in the process of getting animated! An 11 minute animated pilot was released September 27, 2025 that speedran through the first 4 acts of Homestuck and teased the trolls from Act 5. While not a 1-to-1 adaptation, the animated pilot creatively adapts some of the content of Homestuck to fit the now animated form.
Some of these adaptations include: the kids talking to each other on the phone as opposed to chat logs, a narrator being (albeit briefly) present and talking over what John is doing (compared to the lengthy text descriptions paired with each panel), and the way they show the kids interacting with their inventory system

Because Homestuck is highly experimental, there is more to it than just adaptations of the form. There are also "Dubiously Canon" or "Beyond Canon" additions! The Beyond Canon additions include the Epilogues (Meat and Candy) as well as Homestuck^2. The main reason these aren’t considered fully part of Homestuck is in part due to the author giving the audience an "out" so to speak. It is also due to the fact that a different team is in charge of making the story and is a hypothetical continuation of the characters stories after Homestuck concluded, Act 7. The Paradox Space comics (short vignettes featuring Homestuck characters at different points in time) and the Skaianet Systems Incorporated webpage (A webpage counting down to April 13, 2029) are also considered dubiously canon as they have not been outright mentioned within the canon of Homestuck or have since been rolled back as rough drafts of ideas.
